Our non-profit organization dedicated to education and the environment. Jilly Bees Apiary is under direction of Founder/Director Jill Miehe Currin. Jill was astounded when she started keeping bees of the number of beekeepers using chemicals, some that require a pesticide applicators license. These chemicals are harmful to the bees, man and the environment. Moreover,  the mites and parasites develop resistance to them, necessitating more and harsher chemicals- but there is another way- the way we do it!
Jilly Bees is a "seedling" with big dreams! As we grow we hope to  expand our outreach in education, to help others get started with chemical free beekeeping, and encourage more agricultural sustainability.
We hope to branch out in conducting more sustainable farming and help supply fresh produce to families in need and homeless shelter/ food bank. As our organization grows, we will conduct research with "natural cell" and "small cell"  chemical free beekeeping so that we can better aid the plight of the honeybee and the environment.

Your Donations At Work:
We have been able to purchase materials and have representatives travel to schools and community groups, as well as  have guests at our Apiary to see the fascinating world of honeybees and understand their importance.
For people and groups geographically farther than we can travel- We do have handouts, power point presentation, study guides and materials for various ages available (with donation).
